East @ Wisconsin Dells

The Lady Purgolders traveled to Wisconsin Dells High School on Tuesday night. It was the first match of the season and a good test of their abilities. Coaches and players alike have a better idea of their progress thus far in the season.

Freshmen and J.V. suffered losses, but were very competitive. There was a lot of strong serving, good defense, and hard hitting. Freshmen looked much improved running a 6-2 offense and perimeter defense. J.V. put together some great rallies and were strong at the net.

Final scores:

Freshmen: 22-25, 25-22, 20-25

J.V: 21-25, 23-25, 4-15

Varsity lost in 5 sets, providing a great show for spectators. The ladies worked hard to serve aggressively, see the open court and set up the offense. The defense worked hard to keep the rallies going.

Final scores: 20-25, 26-24, 14-25, 25-22, 6-15.
