5K Run - Team Fun Event

Update - 8/3/11 - Team run cancelled due to lack of interest. We'll try again in the spring.

As a team bonding/fun event this year, we'll be running a 5K on Saturday, August 6th. Find the details for the Sun Prairie Bookin' It Run below. Please register yourself and then let Jenna know if you're running it. Hope to see you all there!

Group training runs - Every Tuesday now until race day - Meet at East parking lot at 6:15 p.m. We'll leave at 6:20 sharp. See the training plan below to help you train the rest of the week!

Entry fees:
• $20 pre-registered (includes shirt) by July 22
• $25 day of race (with shirt while supplies last)

Mon Rest
Tue Run 7 mins, walk 2 mins. Do 3 times
Wed Rest
Thu Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Do 3 times
Fri Rest
Sat Rest
Sun Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Do 3 times

WEEK of July 18

Mon Rest
Tue Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Do 3 times
Wed Rest
Thu Run 10 mins, walk 2 mins. Do twice then run for 5 mins
Fri Rest
Sat Rest
Sun Run 8 mins, walk 2 mins. Do 3 times

Tue Run 9 mins, walk 1 min. Do 3 times

Thu Run 12 mins, walk 2 mins. Do twice then run for 5 mins

On race day: You will probably find that you can run at least 20 minutes before you need a break, but whatever your plan, start slowly, and don’t wait until you are exhausted before taking some one-minute walk breaks.
